Your roof is beaten down by the outdoor elements every day. It takes on wind, rain, hail, snow, sun and direct UV rays. This is a major part of your home and your investment into a quality roof is a must. A metal roof will more than pay for itself and actually the investment you make in it will make your home more valuable. With a metal roof, you have all of the advantages and none of the disadvantages of conventional or wood shake shingles.

All of our roofing products have manufacturer warranties, some up to 30 years depending on the product that you choose. Of course, we will warranty our install or repair work as well. We are local to the Bowling Green community and stand behind our 20+ years of quality work in this area.

All of our workers are highly trained on the tricky parts of the roof. They know what to do when they get to the eave, ridge or dormer. We do not cut corners and take every angle of your roof very seriously. Just one mistake and you could have a leak, we pride ourselves in not making those common mistakes. One of the biggest mistakes other roofing companies make is around the counter flashing.

This is the portion of the flashing that is attached to any vertical surface to stop water from collecting behind the base of the flashing. We make sure these are all done correctly along w/ the collar and boot area. We work on any type of pitched or flat roof. The most common residential pitch in Kentucky is a 4/12 pitch. This means that roof rises 4”s for every sided to side run of 12”s. We take the time to educate on what pitch of roof you have and that will determine what products may be better for you. A good rule of thumb is that a steeper roof with a higher pitch will drain better and last longer.

Metal Shingles

I understand that not all homeowners want a metal roof and some think it might look like a shed or barn too much. Or maybe you think it is too modern for your area and won’t fit in with the neighborhood. The perfect solution to this problem is metal shingles. A roof consisting of metal shingles offers a unique look of more conventional roofing systems like slate, composite, tile and more. A huge benefit of having a metal shingled roof is that often it will save you money versus a comparable in quality seam roof. But you still get these benefits:

  • Durability
  • Longevity
  • Protection
  • Environment Friendly
  • Variety Of Colors & Designs

We have installed metal shingles on brick, colonial and ranch style homes. They preserve that traditional authentic look but have all of the advantages of a metal roofing system. Did you know that interlocking metal shingle roofs are the most popular after the standing seam roofing system? The most popular metals that our manufacturers use are aluminum and galvanized steel. Zinc and Copper are used in certain situations and climates. Most metal shingles are painted with seven different layers of primer and paint.

Our installation process is similar to traditional roofing. We install them from the eave all the way to the roof top, known as the ridge. The first layer of shingles is hooked or locked on the eave’s trim, which is screwed to the deck of the roof. Then once properly locked, the metal shingles are attached to the roof top using nails or clips. Then once the first row is completed, we start building a stair, meaning we stagger the shingles We never install just one row at a time, we go side to side.

Some ask if you can install metal shingles over an existing asphalt shingle roof? The answer is yes, as long as there are no more than two layers in place before we install the metal shingles. Although we would prefer to start with a clean slate and rip your old shingles off, we can install over the top of your current roof.

The largest component of making a metal roofing or shingle system work for you is to have the proper roofing contractor. We have the expertise, experience and friendly attitude to get your job done correctly.
